Dead at 47 Warrant Singer Jani Lane
Warrant is an American glam metal band from Hollywood, California. Jani Lane, the former lead singer of the term rock metal band, died in Los Angeles. He was 47th
Officer Sara wire, said the body was found Thursday in a hotel Lane Woodland Hills. She had no immediate information about the cause or circumstances of his death.
With his long blond hair and tight leather outfits, Lane is the excess of the 1980s band “hair metal” rock. He joined Warrant in 1984 and wrote hits like “Heaven,” “Down Boys” and “Cherry Pie”.
He had a relationship on and off with the group, so that in 1992, before returning and stopping several times.
last years, he appeared in VH1′s “Celebrity Fit Club” and made headlines for arrest drunk driving.
He is survived by two daughters from two previous marriages.

Ex-Warrant singer Jani Lane's body was found beside a bottle of vodka and prescription medication, California police have said – leading Sebastian Bach to reflect: "His only real friend killed him in the end."
An autopsy on the 47-year-old was inconclusive following his death on Thursday in a Comfort Inn motel. Former bandmates and other musicians have paid tribute to Lane while his manager, Obi Steinman, says: "I lost a very dear friend. His family, including his young children, asks for privacy during this difficult time."
Bach, ex of Skid Row, says Lane's tragic end is "all too typical of what a rock musician’s life actually is."
He comments: "It's a life marked by extremes. Extreme attention from people you don't know while the work and travel take you away from those you do know."
"Playing to thousands of people then going back to your hotel room and shutting the door. When the door shuts the quiet is the exact opposite of the volume of the concert. The solitude of the room becomes the parallel of the adulation of strangers."
"For some, the bottle of vodka or whatever becomes a friend that's always there for you while others come and go. I've felt those emotions myself."
Bach says it's another reminder to share fond words with people you care about – while you still can. "I guarantee Jani would not have anticipated everyone coming out of the woodwork extolling his life and times", the singer continues. "Which is why he probably died alone in a hotel room with his only real friend."
His cause of death cannot be confirmed until toxicology reports are completed, which may take up to eight weeks. In the meantime investigators suspect accidental overdose or possibly natural causes.
The family of Lane, real name John Kennedy Oswald, have gathered today for a private memorial service. His sister Vicky Oswald-Ley says: "Alcoholism is something he fought every day – and it just won."
"There were no drugs; that was one thing he could not tolerate. But he'd get clean and sober then fall off the wagon."
"He was talented and witty and bright – but he shut his siblings out, and I know that's because he was ashamed of his drinking. There wasn't a day when one of us didn't try to contact him."
But she hasn't yet heard from Lane's wife. "We have so many questions and don't know where to turn for answers", she says. "Why was he in a hotel? Why was he away from his wife? Why was there isolation?"

Jani Lane, who rose to fame as the singer of heavy metal band Warrant, was found dead at 47 tonight at the Comfort Inn hotel in a Woodland Hills, California.
Warrant, with hits like ‘Cherry Pie,’ ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin,’ and ‘Heaven,’ was one of the top metal bands of the early 90′s battling it out with Motley Crue, Poison, and Guns N’ Roses.
Lane had a history of alcohol abuse, along with weight issues, and depression. He appeared on VH1′s Celebrity Fit Club 2 back in 2005.
‘Cherry Pie’ will always be one of the most remembered videos of the past 25 years. It should also be noted that Lane married the hot chick in that video, Bobbi Brown. They divorced after two years of marriage. They had a daughter together, Taylar Jayne Lane.
Jani was born with the unique and historical name – John Kennedy Oswald. His parents obviously wanted to make it clear they weren’t associated with the Lee Harvey Oswald that assassinated President John F. Kennedy.
Jani Lane Autopsy Inconclusive, No Indication of Suicide
The autopsy of former Warrant singer Jani Lane was performed on Friday. However, the result proved inconclusive pending the results of toxicology tests, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Jani Lane, 47, the former Warrant singer, was found dead in a Woodland Hills motel room Thursday night.
It will take seven or eight weeks to finalize the cause of Lane's death, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. However, there is no indication he committed suicide, the police sources said.
But some of Lane's close friends feel the singer could have succumbed to alcohol addiction. "He lost his battle over alcohol," Lane's longtime friend and manager Obi Steinman said.
According to the police sources, there are alcohol and prescription drugs found in the room he died. Also he had been struggling with substance issues and ranked up at least two DUI arrest.
Steinman paid tribute for his friend, "He was one of the great rock-and-roll frontmen and singers of all time," he said. "His music helped shape the '80s."
Warrant's current members also paid tribute with a concert Friday night in North Dakota. "We never thought that when the song 'Heaven' was written we would be playing it someday in the memory of Jani's untimely death," guitarist Erik said with TMZ. "We all watched over the years, as he soared, stumbled, fell, then got up again and again. Tragically, he will get up no more. RIP Jani."
"R.I.P. Jani Lane...a true songwriter and one of the most underrated voices in rock n roll, unfairly looked over because of hair metal tag," Mark "Sugar Ray" McGrath added.
Lane's family will hold a private memorial service on Sunday and a public memorial in Hollywood, featuring performances by other metal bands such as Great White and L.A. Guns , will be held Aug. 24, Steinman said.

Brooke Hogan Brings Dad to Debut of Naked Photography Exhibit to Benefit PETA
Like many men and women before her, Brooke Hogan just went naked to help raise money for PETA. Miami photographer and PETA supporter Jordan Michael Zuniga created an exhibit that seeks to compare the treatment of animals to the treatment of women. One group in real cages. The other in metaphorical cages. Proceeds from the photographs will go to PETA.
However, the fact that Brooke brought her father Hulk Hogan to the exhibit is stirring up more controversy than the actual photo.
For a while now, people have been making jokes about the close relationship Brooke shares with her dad. Whether it’s the gossip blogs posting pictures of her dad putting sunscreen on her butt, or some other bit of ridiculousness, his presence at the opening made the Internet make even more suggestive comments about their relationship. Now, Brooke has had enough.
She tweeted, “I’m SO sick of people saying me and my dad are in some perverted relationship! Go home and do your own thing! Stop picking on me!”
It’s not like the reality star was actually naked. One could argue she’s more covered than a woman at the beach. Hulk Hogan even made the joke for photographers at the event of covering her up further with his hands. But with their relationship already under the microscope, his presence there just added to the silly speculation.
