Team Coco Fun

I decided to follow Conan O'brien's new talk show thru the Team Coco website and the fan page on Facebook. Since I don't subscribe to cable TV or satellite TV, I just watch the video clips and episodes they post online. (Yeah, why pay extra for cable when you can see the same things online at your convenience?) So far it's been a blast watching all those hilarious interviews and fun clips on the Team Coco site.

My Chemical Romance

And a music-lover like me even gets a good fill of musical entertainment. I've gotten to see My Chemical Romance perform on the show, caught the legendary act Social Distortion sing, and even got to watch the iconic rockers Motorhead "explode our eardrums" (as they quoted on the site) with their song "Get Back in Line".

Motorhead

You ought to check out Conan's late night show if you can. Check your local TV/Cable listings for the schedule. Or go to TeamCoco to watch selected episodes which are posted daily, enjoy awesome interviews with all the latest popular celebrities, laugh at the crazy comic skits they put together, and chill out with some of the best musical performers from the past and present. I visit the site because it's a lot of fun!!!

Celebrity Resemblances

I don't know why but sometimes I see strange resemblances between celebrities that are not related.  It could also just be my weird imagination or I might need new glasses.  Take for instance Neve Campbell...

She strangely reminds me of HINDER's Austin Winkler...

Even when I take a second look...

Oh well, then again, look at me here...MyHeritage.com says I look like Tommy Lee of Motley Crue! LOL!!!

127 Hours actor James Franco plans to sing and dance at the forthcoming Oscars, along with Anne Hathaway.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway are hosting the event on 27 February and he has confirmed that he may do more than just present the awards as he wants to entertain as well.

He said, "You got Anne Hathaway, who is the youngest host ever, that is new. There might be some singing, there might be some dancing."Apart from hosting the awards ceremony, Franco could win an award for Best Actor for his role in new film 127 Hours.

Christina Perri...a new Alanis Morissette?

When I first heard Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts", I thought of Alanis Morissette because it was so edgy, defiant, and vocal about the pain felt in the heartbreaking relationship. It reminded me of "You Oughtta Know" in that the lyrics were quite angrily directed at an ex-lover who caused pain by obviously leaving them for another woman.
However, there is one marked difference in the two songs. In Alanis Morissette's song, she sticks around and wants to be sure the ex is constantly reminded of the pain he caused her; whereas, in Christina Perri's song, she just "begs" him to stay out of her life.

Dis you listen to it? Touching, isn't it? Perhaps now you should go check out her official music video on YouTube.

Rock Star Marriages

The New Year started with a lot of talk about more rock star marriages hitting the rocks and going the way of Humpty Dumpty's fall. First my big favorite, Sebastian Bach, announced that he and his wife Maria Bierk have decided to get divorced.
Man! After 18 years! They said they tried to keep it together for the sake of their family but just could not reconcile their differences. How sad!

Just prior to that, I had learned that John Mellencamp and his wife, model Elaine Irwin decided to go their separate ways, too. They were also married 18 years! I guess even the wild life of a rockstar can't provide enough excitement to keep a marriage together. Either that or the excitement IS the PROBLEM. I'm sure that rockstars (or celebrities in general) face so much temptation out on the road that you have to be a really strong person and have a really strong devotion to your partner to be able to get past those obstacles.

On a happier note, though, Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebauld rang in the New Year with marriage vows to each other. After suffering from the heartbreak of their former spouses cheating with each other, these two found comfort with each other and a friendship that they decided to make permanent.

There are some rocking couples still together after more than 20 years and I sure hope they can stay that way. We need some famous people like these to show us that marriages can last and that couples should respect each other enough to stay married through thick and thin.

There's Jon Bon Jovi (whoot whoo!) and his lovely wife Dorothea. They were high school sweethearts - imagine that!!!

And then there's Ozzy Osbourne and his manager-wife, Sharon. They've literally been together through hell and back! I give them kudos!!! Hurray for the madman and his wife...you're really no madman when you can keep your life together like that. You're both amazing!
